Job Description
Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst
Summary: The Senior Financial Analyst develops and maintains financial models, delivering actionable insights through reporting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role collaborates with senior leadership to optimize financial performance, and mentors junior staff.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Oversee the creation, maintenance, and optimization of complex asset-liability and financial models, ensuring accuracy, robustness, and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of extensive financial data to produce high-quality, timely managerial reports for board of directors' meetings, internal/external audits, regulatory examinations, and ad hoc executive requests.
- Deliver sophisticated reporting and analysis of the Bank's performance against historical, budgeted, forecasted, and strategic planning benchmarks to guide executive decision-making and achieve financial objectives.
- Oversee the validation and verification of data integrity for internally and externally generated reports, implementing processes to enhance accuracy and reliability.
- Direct the preparation and analysis of organizational, branch, and product profitability reports, providing actionable insights to optimize financial performance and resource allocation.
- Supervise the maintenance of critical department files, including asset-liability committee records, capital, earnings, liquidity, market risk sensitivity, and investment-related documentation, ensuring compliance and accessibility.
- Ensure the accurate preparation and organization of work papers for all financial reports, maintaining audit-ready documentation and streamlined processes.
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of policies related to strategic fiscal management, liquidity, interest rate risk, and investments, proactively advising on compliance and best practices.
- Lead the preparation and analysis of short- and long-term financial projections, incorporating changes in products, services, interest rates, and liquidity to support strategic planning.
- Proactively identify inconsistencies, trends, or opportunities through advanced analysis of financial reports, recommending strategic actions to mitigate risks or capitalize on opportunities.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior financial analysts, fostering their professional development and ensuring team alignment with departmental goals.
- Carry out responsibilities with professionalism and respect for others, and in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, mathematics, or a closely related field required.
- CFA, CPA or FMVA Certification preferred.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, including the ability to assess financial data, evaluate financial performance, and provide actionable insights.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with the ability to interpret financial statements and related documents.
- Strong quantitative skills, including proficiency in data analysis, statistics, and financial modeling.
- Familiarity with financial software and tools, such as Excel, financial modeling software, and data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of financial markets, economic trends, and the ability to conduct market research.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, including the ability to develop financial models.
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and understandable manner.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop solutions.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial data and reporting.
- Effective time management skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements relevant to the industry.
- Some banking experience preferred.
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel Skills.
- Advanced PC experience to include Microsoft Windows Suite.
- Strong positivity.
