Position: Tax Manager (Hybrid)
About the Position

Our Client is seeking a skilled and experienced Tax Manager to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with knowledge in tax preparation and management. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to assist in leading the tax department and provide guidance to both clients and team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of tax preparation and compliance for a diverse portfolio of clients, including individuals, corporations, partnerships, and non-profit organizations.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Review and approve tax returns prepared by staff members, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to deadlines.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior staff members, fostering their professional development and enhancing the overall quality of work produced by the tax department.
  • Stay current with changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry trends, and communicate relevant updates to the team and clients.
  • Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide well-reasoned solutions and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as audit and advisory, to provide comprehensive services to clients.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor on tax matters.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure efficient and profitable delivery of services.
Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax preparation and management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role
  • Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities
