Overview

Amegy Bank is a premier community bank in Downtown San Antonio, Texas. We are seeking a candidate who possesses extensive knowledge of Texas communities and has experience attracting new business relationships while deepening and retaining existing private banking relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee strategic relationship building, integrated business development, and retention of high-net-worth private banking clients.
  • Lead employee development and set the tone for sales growth.
  • Monitor complex credit requests, ensuring proper documentation and credit quality in conformance with bank policy.
  • Report directly to the Regional President and work closely with the statewide Private Banking Segment Leader based in Houston, TX.
  • Prioritize ethical standards, emotional intelligence, and conflict resolution; lead by example to promote ethical behavior.
  • Manage and mentor a large, diverse team of bankers, ensuring competence and motivation through training, counseling, and performance reviews.
  • Achieve individualized and team performance goals, developing private banking relationships comprising complex credit facilities, core deposit accounts, fee income, and other services.
  • Develop, implement, and manage long-term prospect calling programs to generate significant revenue from loans, deposits, and fee income.
  • Foster collaboration with internal teams and external partners to deliver comprehensive banking solutions.
  • Conduct in-depth financial assessments and provide expert financial advice and personalized banking solutions to high-net-worth clients.
  • Lead change initiatives to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency, staying abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes.
  • Formulate and execute strategic plans to expand the private banking portfolio while ensuring profitability and identifying market opportunities.
  • Analyze and interpret unit/division financial statements to inform decisions aligned with the bank’s financial objectives.
Qualifications
  • Relevant licenses are beneficial but not required; experience, skills, and a strong understanding of private banking services are valued.
  • Experience attracting new business relationships and deepening existing private banking relationships.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and team management skills.
  • Ability to monitor complex credit requests and ensure documentation quality.
