Accenture Federal Services is seeking an Accounting Senior Analyst to support the AFS Accounting and Reporting function within the Controllership organization. This role interacts with various departments and levels within the Organization and is primarily responsible for providing critical accounting support to the organization. This role will be focused on primarily providing support for a component of AFS.
The Work:- Prepare cost transfer entries for components on a monthly basis
- Set up all projects for component in Deltek Costpoint
- Participate in monthly consolidated close, including extended work hours during close to meet deadlines
- Prepare journal entries in accordance with GAAP
- Prepare financial statements and related analyses for component
- Respond to inquiries regarding activity within the component
- Prepare account reconsiliations for related accounts and resolve any discrepancies
- Execute internal controls to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, AFS policies, and Federal cost compliance rules
- Support internal and external audits
- Participate in special projects and initiatives, as needed
- Participate in opportunities to continuously improve training, methodologies, tools and skills
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience
- Strong project management skills - able to work on multiple projects concurrently
- Proficient with common PC software applications including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Strong professional written and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with employees at all levels
- Government contracting industry experience
- Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Government Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland
. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
