Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide clinic-based ABA services to EBH patients and families
  • Supervise implementation of treatment to ensure satisfactory protocol implementation
  • Conduct initial and follow-up assessments and parent questionnaires
  • Develop and write individualized behavior acquisition programs
  • Conduct descriptive and functional analyses as part of functional assessments
  • Write behavior intervention plans for behavior reduction targets
  • Develop and write initial treatment plans and update plans per best practice and insurance guidelines
  • Implement and supervise data collection systems
  • Provide behavioral support for patients in an interdisciplinary setting
  • Evaluate and report patient progress toward treatment goals; oversee transition and discharge plans
  • Conduct individual and group trainings for parents/caregivers as needed
  • Attend department and interdisciplinary staff meetings
  • Maintain BCBA certification by continuing education in BACB categories
  • Obtain and maintain state licensure
  • Adhere to the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts
Requirements
  • Master’s degree in Behavior Analysis or related field
  • Board certification and in good standing as a BCBA
  • Current BCBA licensure in Texas
  • Minimum of 2 years working with children with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disabilities
  • Competencies:

    Planning and Evaluating, Problem-Solving, Customer Service, Decision Making, Interpersonal Skills, Time Management, Written and Oral Communication
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to move or transport up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to participate in 6–8 hour sessions, including responding to elopement or aggression
  • Must be able to sit on the floor when needed and transition to standing quickly to respond to behavior
  • Must be able to bend or twist to utilize physical management and maintain holds when necessary
