Under minimal supervision, provides nursing care for a group of patients assigned to the nurse based on matching the patients’ needs with the nurse’s competencies. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

• Minimum:
  Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Preferred:
  Bachelor’s Degree.

• Preferred:
  Two years in acute care. Previous clinical nursing experience.

• Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA) within 60 days of hire.
• AHA ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (Labor & Delivery) before end of orientation period.
• AHA NRP must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role before end of orientation period.
• Fetal Monitoring – L&D and Antepartum:
  Novice RN required to complete GNOSIS introduction to Fetal Heart Monitoring within 30 days of hire or transfer date into unit and AWHONN Intermediate Heart Monitoring with 8 months of L&D Orientation.
• Experienced L&D RN ( >1 yr experience) must have AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring on hire or within first 90 days of hire.
• Level 2 Nursery – Must provide proof of prior completion or obtain within 6 months of hire or transfer date into unit.
• AHA PALS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (PEDIATRICS).
