POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides technical and methodological design consultation, database development, data management, statistical analysis and results interpretation/reporting for a variety of internal and external projects including, but not limited to the Health System Medication Assistance Program (MAP) and 340B Drug Discount Program (340B Program) auditing and program compliance. Specific responsibilities include utilization of mainframe databases for the identification of appropriate study populations; data management, analysis planning and statistical analysis of data collected from data sources, patient surveys and claims data, ensuring timeliness and accuracy of data integration between the MAP and Pharmacy Department databases and managing 340B program internal audits.
Develops complex reports from large, relational databases; and prepares policy statements and recommendations to assist UHS to improve the quality of patient services. Maintains the Cost Accounting System for MAP and reports cumulative expenditures and savings generated by the assistance program.
BS/BA degree in business or a related field is required. Related pharmacy and/or healthcare billing experience is required. Five years experience in a medical or pharmacology related field to include project coordination; database/spreadsheet development and management; and/or application programming; processing and overseeing medical insurance billing and reimbursement cost capture is preferred. Must have demonstrated appropriate independent judgment.
