POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Plans, develops and implements professionally competent individual and group treatment programs for both pediatricinpatient. Assists with managerial, administrative and educational duties as assigned by supervisor. Provides efficient and timely professional Speech Pathology programming and appropriate documentation on all pediatric patients assigned. Participates in and contributes to educational programs and serves as a Clinical Instructor for various levels of Speech Pathology student programs.
Assists with supervision of assigned Speech Pathology personnel, students and/or volunteers. Participates effectively with healthcare team members to facilitate maximum patient benefit.
Master's degree in speech pathology required. Completion of all academic requirements for Certificate of Competence by the American Speech and Hearing Association is preferred. Minimum of two years of experience is required. Meets clinical and leadership activities and behaviors as defined in the clinical ladder or equivalent.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONMust maintain current licensure to practice as a Speech and Language Pathologist as issued by the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathology and Audiology. Must maintain an active membership in the American Speech and Hearing Association. Must have current American Heart Association, Basic Cardiac Life Support and Health Care Provider card.
