• Work up, educate, and follow up potential patients.
• Obtain medical and surgical history and complete all diagnostic testing.
• Assist the doctor in the exam lane and during surgical procedures.
• Ensure all forms are complete and pertinent information recorded.
• Maintain outcome data.
• Perform autorefrations, topographical mapping, wavefront analysis, lensometer, pachymeter, and visual acuities.
• Evaluate and measure pupil size and responses, use slit lamp microscope, applanation tonometer, and instill eye drops.
• Understand all equipment and instruments used in the center, including LASIK suite.
• Provide pre/post-operative care and instructions.
• Assist in surgery by preparing the laser room with supplies and sterilized equipment.
• Stock all medication and medical supplies proactively to ensure completion of required tasks.
• Call to request pre/post-ops on surgical patients.
• Order all medical supplies.
• Keep up with all regular and emergency maintenance on medical equipment.
• Assist in other areas as needed.

• 2+ years of experience as an Ophthalmology Technician is ideal.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Desire to provide an exceptional patient experience.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
