TECH - MH/BH FULL TIME
Join Laurel Ridge Treatment Center, a premier provider of specialized behavioral health and addictions services in San Antonio and South Texas. This 330‑bed freestanding psychiatric hospital serves patients of all ages, including children, adolescents, young adults, veterans, and military personnel.
Position PurposeAssist in the direct care and management of children, adolescents, and adults. Provide direct supervision, safety, and crisis management for this patient population.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct supervision of patients/guests waiting with patients.
- Maintain safety within the milieu by constantly monitoring patients/guests for potentially unsafe behaviors.
- Prevent and manage crisis situations.
- Role‑model appropriate behaviors, attitudes, social skills, and self‑care.
- Complete all required documentation.
- Adhere to facility policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Good verbal and written skills; ability to rotate shifts as necessary; maintain confidentiality of patient information; consistent mental and emotional ability to understand and perform essential functions; provide behavioral management using hospital‑approved methods; supervise patients at all times to maintain safety.
Education:
High School diploma or GED; attendance in an accredited college and/or university.
Licensure/Certification:
Current Texas driver’s license with a good driving record; CPR/CPI certification.
Experience:
One year of experience as a mental health worker or related field, or enrollment in or graduation from a professional program (LVN, RN, licensed therapist).
