• Process patient referrals for practices in the market.
• Facilitate orders outside to outside facilities.
• Coordinate scheduling of office visits for the referred patient.
• Assist patients with finding resources that accept various insurances.
• Obtain pre‑authorization from payers.
• Contact insurance companies to get medications approved that may have been denied due to formulary changes.

• Required:
  
  High school diploma or GED.
• Preferred:
  Completion of a medical assisting or medical office assistant program.

• Required:
  
  Minimum of four years of experience working in a medical office setting.

• Preferred:
  Healthcare management/administration or Medical Assistant certification.
