Pharmacist- The Pharmacist is responsible for daily operations, personnel management and regulatory compliance of pharmacy services for the facility, when on duty without the Director being present.
- This position establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers and vendors.
- The Pharmacist communicates the needs of the department to The Director of the Department and collaborates with medical staff regarding prescriptive issues and therapy recommendations.
- The Pharmacist supports management team in meeting facility goals.
- Education: Bachelor s degree in pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy. Pharm
D. preferred. - Licensure/Certification: Current Texas Registered Pharmacist (RPh) license
- IV Certification (ACPE certified):
- BLS
- Required Experience: Two (2) to five (5) years hospital pharmacy experience
- Demonstrate competent knowledge of the development needs of pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
- Knowledge of Joint Commission and Medicare standards affecting pharmacy.
- Must possess ability to prioritize responsibilities and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Possess the ability to deal tactfully with all types of personnel, medical staff and the public.
- Possess the ability to make independent decisions.
- Must have ability to act as liaison between personnel and management.
