Things to know about the role:

  • Employment Type: Full-Time
  • Work Schedule: Sat - Mon / 12hr shift or Sat – Wed / 8 am
    -5 pm
  • Travel: None required other than regular on-site work

Position Summary:

The Bilingual Medical Transcriptionist plays a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely documentation of medical records across our healthcare operations. This position requires fluency in both English and Spanish, a strong understanding of medical terminology, and the ability to transcribe audio recordings from healthcare professionals into written reports. The ideal candidate will have experience in clinical documentation, a commitment to confidentiality, and a passion for supporting high-quality patient care through precise recordkeeping.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transcribe medical dictations from physicians and healthcare providers into accurate written reports in both English and Spanish.
  • Review and edit transcriptions for grammar, clarity, and medical accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and internal documentation standards.
  • Maintain organized records and assist with electronic health record (EHR) updates.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to clarify inconsistencies or missing information.
  • Support quality assurance efforts by identifying and correcting documentation errors.

Qualifications Required:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent;
    Preferred – Possess a degree in Community Health or Medical Services equivalent
  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience performing professional administrative work in a health care setting, including medical scribe/healthcare documentation specialist experience, and providing Spanish/English transcription of medical documentation.
  • Must be proficient in medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology.
  • Must be fully fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
  • Strong typing skills (minimum 60 WPM) and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with EHR systems and transcription software.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to privacy regulations.
