• Generate daily schedule and review verification notes to confirm the date of last verification.
• Verify patient insurance coverage, demographics and coordinate with the Referral Coordinator when a referral is needed.
• Maintain insurance verification spreadsheet for all verifications highlighting coverage lapses or private pay.
• Document standard verification information in the collection notes and notify the admissions manager and/or branch coordinator of any irregularities and/or special benefits.
• Provide clerical support to the billing office, including filing, pulling, and copying EOBs for collections staff.

High school degree or equivalent with a minimum of two years experience in insurance verification, referrals, co‑payment collection, billing and customer service. Two years experience in medical billing software and ability to balance and close a cash drawer is also required.
