Overview

Cardiovascular Technologist Cath Lab Full Time Rotate NBH

The Cardiovascular Technologist performs hemodynamic monitoring procedures of a highly specialized nature as well as assists the physician during all procedures. Works with patients from adolescents to geriatrics. In addition, trains Cardiovascular Technicians and other Cath Lab personnel. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Note: This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus.

• Perform hemodynamic monitoring procedures and assist physicians during all Cath Lab procedures.
• Provide care to patients across the lifespan (adolescents to geriatrics).
• Train Cardiovascular Technicians and other Cath Lab personnel.
• Complete established competencies within the designated introductory period; perform other related duties as assigned.

• Minimum Education: Graduate of a certificate or degree-granting program or post-secondary educational program in health science, or equivalent education.
• Experience: 2 years of interventional Cath Lab experience or 2 years of Electrophysiology experience.
• Certifications/Licensure: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES);
  Preferred:
  Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist (LMRT).
• Required Courses/Completions: Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support (BLS) on hire (ARC or AHA); BLS within 60 days of hire. AHA ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role.
