Pecan Valley Rehabilitation & Healthcare in San Antonio, TX is a post‑acute care facility offering long‑term, short‑term, and geriatric services. We provide a stable, enjoyable in‑house therapy team and excellent programs to support our geriatric clients’ recovery journeys.

We are seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist for our in‑house rehab program. Flexible schedule with work‑life balance.

• Effectively screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders and develop an appropriate plan of care following all regulatory and clinical practice standards.
• Utilize standardized assessments and evidence‑based practice to support clinical interventions.
• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients per regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including but not limited to ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive and assistive devices.
• Assess patient’s progress and adjust treatments accordingly in the clinical record per regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes for effectiveness; adjust services in relation to patient evaluation and make referrals based on outcomes.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and other health team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans.
• Provide comprehensive discharge summaries of services per regulatory and clinical requirements.

• Occupational Therapist license is required.
• Open to Occupational Therapists at all experience levels; new graduates are welcome.
