Position Overview
We are looking for a compassionate Licensed Substance Use Counselor to assist patients through medically assisted treatments and offer opioid addiction management techniques at Med Mark Treatment Centers.
Responsibilities- Assist patients through medically assisted treatments and offer techniques for handling opioid addiction.
- Conduct individual and group sessions to assist with crisis management and coping strategies.
- Evaluate patients’ progress during counseling and collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other counselors to help patients achieve overall outcomes.
- Provide individual and group counseling services; deliver direct service hours at regularly scheduled intervals; coordinate all services throughout treatment.
- Facilitate, establish and review with each patient the initial treatment plan.
- Complete a Bio‑psychosocial assessment.
- Develop aftercare plans and discharge plans.
- Ensure efficient and effective delivery of counseling services to all patients in a trauma‑informed manner.
- Perform other related duties as determined by supervisor.
- Must possess a Texas CDCA, LCDC II, LCDC III, or LICDC license.
- Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals is preferred.
- Must demonstrate a positive, non‑judgmental, and accepting attitude toward our patient population.
- Understanding of an EMR system (electronic medical records).
- Must pass a satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
