Treatment Director - St. PJ's Children's Home

Full‑time. Work days:
Tuesday through Saturday.

Work hours:

9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Mission: The mission of St. PJ’s Children’s Home is to be a safe and loving refuge for children in crisis and to accompany them on their journey to healing and wholeness, breaking the cycle of abuse and neglect one child at a time.

Summary

The Treatment Director will manage, support and plan how services are delivered in regards to all treatment and assessment services for residents of St. PJ’s Children’s Home. The role provides direct supervision for all case managers and interns related to shelter services, assists with reporting, acts as a representative of the Home, and is responsible for the therapeutic milieu and ongoing evaluation of the efficacy of interventions.

The Treatment Director will become a Train‑the‑Trainer in the Sanctuary Model and EQ2 and lead training of all shelter staff, provide subject‑matter expertise and direction to the case‑management and direct‑care staff, and oversee recruitment, hiring, training and termination decisions for staff.

Position Responsibilities
  • Plan, develop, coordinate, implement and assess all programs and services, manage program requirements and policies regarding the treatment model.
  • Provide regular supervision of the direct‑care staff to ensure adherence to treatment plans.
  • Ensure services are trauma‑informed and best practices are followed.
  • Ensure all activities comply with local, state and federal regulations.
  • Collaborate on the ongoing development of the Sanctuary Treatment Model.
  • Assess residents within 24 hours of a containment; assessment completed in person.
  • Recruit, hire and train all staff under supervision and recommend terminations if necessary.
  • Develop and implement employee development plans.
  • Maintain excellent writing and editing skills, translating complex concepts into clear language.
  • Ensure clinical staff maintain proper credentialing, licensure and insurance paneling.
  • Lead development, implementation and evaluation of the treatment program, participate in quality assurance and provide statistical data.
  • Assume on‑call duties after regular hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • May take on a case load at the discretion of the Program Director and Senior Director of Emergency Services.
  • Coordinate and lead various program meetings on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis.
  • Monitor job performance of staff based on services, procedures and program goals.
  • Maintain and grow partnerships with higher‑education institutions.
  • Liaise with the Director of Counseling Services and therapists to align therapeutic services with child needs.
  • Provide performance reviews in compliance with agency guidelines and time frames.
  • Monitor performance quality indicators and engage in quarterly peer reviews of case files.
  • Review critical cases and coordinate with stakeholders for clinical recommendations.
  • Provide direct service and support to individuals or clients (referrals, needs evaluation, complaint resolution).
  • Respect cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the service population.
  • Adhere to safety training and protocols on a daily basis and safeguard the well‑being of self and others.
  • Monitor all program service locations to ensure quality of treatment services.
  • Protect confidentiality of client, donor and internal information.
  • Adhere to the Code of Conduct and Faith and Moral.
  • Take a solution‑oriented approach and promote collaboration and commitment to the mission and vision.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Program Director and Senior Director of Emergency Services.
