That’s our vision, and we’re excited about it. To support our continued growth, we are currently seeking a Senior Medical Research Associate to join our diverse and dynamic team. This role is office based at our Utrecht location. Both Dutch and English speaking and writing skills are essential for this position.
As a Senior Medical Research Associate at ICON, you will perform clinical research activities according to the protocols and organisation standards. Working from our Utrecht office, you will collaborate closely with clinical teams, investigators, and study sites to drive high‑quality execution and delivery of clinical trials in both Dutch and English professional environments.
What You Will Be Doing- Obtaining informed consent from healthy participants
- Performing clinical research activities including, but not limited to, wellbeing assessments, body weight and vital signs measurements, ECG recordings, intravenous blood sample collection, urine sample collection, and other study‑specific assessments
- Collecting and reporting data in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
- Managing study documentation
- Providing mentorship and guidance to junior research associates, supporting a collaborative and high‑performing team environment
- Supporting laboratory processing of safety blood and urine samples
- Contributing to the reporting and management of adverse events during the study
- Minimum of an MBO 2 qualification in the healthcare sector or life sciences; an advanced degree or experience in clinical trials or Dutch healthcare is an advantage
- Good communication skills in both Dutch and English
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Residence within a commutable distance of Utrecht; this position is fully office based
- Willingness to work flexible weekend duties; no night or evening shifts required
