Avir at French Home is seeking a motivated, compassionate, and experienced Director of Rehabilitation to lead and oversee rehabilitation services at our facility in San Antonio, Texas. The ideal candidate will be a licensed rehabilitation professional with strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills who is committed to providing high-quality patient care and improving residents’ functional abilities and quality of life.

The Director of Rehabilitation will oversee rehabilitation operations, support the therapy team, coordinate patient care, and help ensure services meet applicable clinical standards and regulatory requirements.

• Direct and oversee the daily operations of rehabilitation services, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology.

• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to rehabilitation staff.

• Coordinate therapy services to promote quality patient outcomes and resident satisfaction.

• Monitor therapy programs, productivity, documentation, and clinical performance.

• Ensure accurate and timely completion of clinical documentation in accordance with applicable regulations and facility policies.

• Collaborate with nursing, administration, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate resident care.

• Support compliance with state and federal regulations, professional licensing requirements, and facility standards.

• Monitor rehabilitation outcomes and identify opportunities for quality improvement.

• Assist with staffing, scheduling, team development, and performance management.

• Promote a positive, collaborative, and resident-centered environment.

• Must hold an active Texas license in one of the following disciplines:

  • Physical Therapist (PT)

  • Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

  • Occupational Therapist (OT)

  • Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

  • Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

• Previous rehabilitation leadership or management experience is preferred.

• Experience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care, or post-acute rehabilitation setting is preferred.

• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge of rehabilitation documentation, clinical standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.

• Ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
