Human Resources Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Specialist to join an established organization operating in the industrial and energy sector. This position will work closely with employees and front-line leadership to support a safe, productive, and positive workplace.

Location:

South San Antonio, near Stinson Municipal Airport

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Pay: $25/hour

Work Arrangement:
On-site

• Support recruiting, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding
• Serve as a point of contact for employee HR questions and concerns
• Assist with employee relations, investigations, and corrective-action processes
• Support benefits administration, orientations, and performance management
• Maintain accurate HR records and confidential employee information
• Coordinate background checks and other pre-employment requirements
• Assist with payroll/timekeeping questions and employee setup
• Prepare HR reports and assist with special projects and process improvements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred
• Must be able to pass a background and drug screen
• 5–7 years of HR experience preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of HR policies, employment practices, and applicable regulations
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; HRIS/ATS experience preferred
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
• Strong customer-service and interpersonal skills
