Director - HR Data and Analytics

Work Arrangement: Hybrid, in-office 4 days/week

Role Overview

They are seeking a strategic HR leader with expertise in data analytics to guide our HR information and analytics capabilities while managing a team of 10. This position serves as a bridge between HR, IT, and business units, ensuring HR data initiatives are aligned with organizational priorities.

You will leverage your experience in HR data architecture, data modeling, and business intelligence to design scalable solutions, deliver actionable insights, and support data-driven decision-making across the enterprise. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented leader who thrives in developing high-performing teams, improving business intelligence processes, and advancing HR technology capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute team strategies aligned with departmental and enterprise objectives
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and manage the team’s execution and reputation
  • Oversee team performance, coaching, career development, and talent progression
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality HR data analytics, dashboards, and business intelligence outputs
  • Maintain regulatory, risk, and compliance standards within team operations
  • Research and integrate industry trends and best practices into HR analytics and business intelligence solutions
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders on HR data and decision support solutions
  • Guide prioritization, resource allocation, and problem-solving within the team
  • Collaborate with IT to advance enterprise HR information capabilities and optimize legacy systems
  • Provide thought leadership in information management, governance, and architecture decisions
  • Identify, monitor, and manage business risks in compliance with organizational policies
Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Economics, Finance, Statistics, Math, Data Science, or related) OR equivalent professional experience in analytics or quantitative fields
  • 8+ years of experience in data analytics, technical, or HR-related functions
  • OR Advanced degree with 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Minimum 3 years of direct leadership or management experience
Skills & Expertise:
  • Proven ability to manage and coach teams delivering business intelligence and analytics solutions
  • Advanced knowledge of BI tools and platforms (Tableau, Qlik View, Business Objects, Snowflake, Hadoop, SQL, etc.)
  • Strong facilitation, collaboration, and executive-level presentation skills
  • Expertise in regulatory compliance, risk management, and HR data governance
  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and intuitive storytelling
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience leading HR analytics teams and creating dashboards/visualizations to support decision-making
  • Familiarity with HR technology systems (HRIS) and HR data architecture
  • Understanding of data modeling and architecture principles applied to HR and people analytics
  • Strong leadership skills including coaching, mentoring, and performance management
  • Knowledge of business architecture principles and the ability to align HR technology solutions with organizational strategy
  • Salary Range: $143,320 – $273,930 (varies by experience, skills, and location)
  • Pay incentives may be awarded based on individual and corporate performance
