Experience:
3 years of experience with Retail Analytics, Data, Reporting/Visualization or related. Requires skills and experience to involve:
- Expertise using advanced analytic skills and knowledge of multiple categories to provide credible, action-oriented analyses and recommendations to management using Data Analysis, Data Profiling, and Data Visualization.
- Working knowledge of retail accounting and finance principles.
- Advanced facilitation and project management skills using agile principles and practices.
- Ability to manage large-scale projects from conception to implementation using SQL and Python.
- Provides complex analysis and recommendations to BUDs and BDMs on existing business and new business opportunities.
- Intermediate PC skills with Word, internet browsers, and file management.
- Proficiency accessing and organizing data through Excel, Tableau, Power Point, Lucid, Databricks, Teradata, and Microstrategy to build out analysis to support solutions for business problems.
Job duties:
Produce financial and market intelligence by querying data repositories and generating periodic reports. Devise methods for identifying data patterns and trends in available information sources. Serve as data SME in specific subject area of accounting. Collaborate with management to document business processes and detailed requirements for Data Engineers and Report Developers. Apply understanding of data flow across all systems that support the business process.
Map business processes to systems and data to support visualization. Collaborate with Data Engineers to translate product into solutions. Access and organize data to build analysis supporting business solutions. Explore and profile new data sets to understand scenarios and anomalies through SQL. Build analyses to propose solutions for business problems. Create reports and visualizations as part of data exploration and analysis.
Perform quality assurance/user acceptance testing for data solutions or report development.
