Network Engineer with Security Clearance
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our team supporting critical infrastructure and mission systems for the DoD. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and scalable network solutions in both classified and unclassified environments.
Key Responsibilities- Design, deploy, and manage LAN, WAN, and VPN networks to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and network appliances (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, etc.).
- Troubleshoot network issues and provide Tier II/III support for incidents and outages.
- Implement network segmentation, encryption, and access controls to comply with DoD security policies (DISA STIGs, RMF, etc.).
- Monitor network performance using tools like Solar Winds, Wireshark, or Splunk.
- Collaborate with cyber, systems, and cloud teams to support cross‑functional mission requirements.
- Prepare documentation including network diagrams, SOPs, and change requests.
- Support network modernization, migration, and technology refresh initiatives.
- Active [Secret/TS/TS/SCI] clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience in network engineering or administration.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), and network security.
- Experience with Cisco IOS/NX‑OS, Fortinet, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with classified networking requirements and compliance standards.
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (e.g., Security+, CCNA Security, or higher).
- Experience with SD‑WAN, IPv6, or cloud network integrations (AWS, Azure Gov).
- Prior work supporting DoD, IC, or federal civilian agencies.
- Knowledge of network automation tools (Ansible, Python scripting).
