Peraton s Cyber Mission supports the United States Air Force by delivering mission-critical Cyber professionals who defend our nation s security. Our team provides engineering, logistics, sustainment, and customer support to ensure the functionality of network infrastructure, while addressing complex cybersecurity and national defense challenges. We are seeking a Security Administration, Advisor to support our mission to defend and protect national security.
The Security Administration Advisor ensures resilient mission support by developing and enforcing cybersecurity administrative frameworks, technical controls, and operational procedures vital to maintaining robust network infrastructure. They serve as an authoritative advisor, guiding internal teams and mission partners to uphold security posture and compliance in support of the nation s defense objectives.
- Provide expert advisory support to leadership on security matters impacting mission operations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with mission and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct security risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies to reduce exposure.
- Oversee security-related incident investigations and ensure timely resolution and reporting.
- Coordinate with internal teams and mission partners to ensure security requirements are integrated into operational activities.
- Monitor and assess network and system security configurations to identify and address vulnerabilities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree with 8 years of experience, Master s degree with 6 years of experience, PhD with 3 years of experience.
- US Citizenship and a current active TOP SECRET Clearance with SCI.
- Must comply with DoD 8140/DCWF Work Role 451 requirements, including holding an approved baseline certification and meeting all KSAs for managing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to protect information systems.
- Experience managing classified information in accordance with applicable standards.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance in federal or defense environments.
Qualifications:
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, or GIAC.
- Experience supporting USAF or other DoD cyber missions.
- Knowledge of emerging cyber threats and evolving adversary tactics.
- Experience performing security audits and accreditation activities.
Target Salary Range: $80,000 - $128,000. Salary is determined by factors including scope and responsibilities, experience, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, geographic location, and contract considerations. May include overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
