Systems Administrator

We are looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. This contract position offers an excellent opportunity to manage and maintain essential IT systems while contributing to the overall efficiency of operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system administration and a proven ability to support a variety of platforms and tools.

• Perform daily system administration tasks, including provisioning, installation, configuration, patching, and maintenance of hardware and software systems.
• Manage and support Windows Active Directory environments, including storage, network infrastructure, and backup systems.
• Operate and maintain monitoring and management tools such as Microsoft system tools.
• Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical team members and stakeholders.
• Administer and provide support for virtualization platforms, including Microsoft Hyper‑V and VMware vCenter.
• Develop and utilize Power Shell scripts to enhance system automation and efficiency.
• Ensure system reliability and performance by conducting regular assessments and troubleshooting issues.
• Collaborate with other IT professionals to optimize system operations and resolve technical challenges.
• Contribute to the planning and implementation of infrastructure upgrades and improvements.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in systems administration or a related role.
• Proficiency with Active Directory and Exchange Server.
• Hands‑on experience with VMware and Hyper‑V virtualization platforms.
• Familiarity with SharePoint and Windows Server 2008.
• Ability to write and execute Power Shell scripts for automation tasks.
• Strong communication skills for conveying technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve system‑related issues effectively.
• Knowledge of network management and backup solutions.
