The Role Join Peraton as a Senior Systems Engineer - Cyber Missions Team (San Antonio, TX) Peraton is seeking a talented Senior Systems Engineer to become an integral part of our Cyber Missions team in San Antonio, TX. What You'll Do:
* Work in a cloud-based platform built with Java and open-source technologies, including Kubernetes, Hadoop, and Accumulo, to support data-intensive analytics on a managed infrastructure.

* Be a key member of the Operations Team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, providing top-notch customer support, and leveraging your troubleshooting expertise to resolve technical challenges.

* Collaborate with a fast-paced, innovative team where your proactive mindset and attention to detail will make a real impact.

* Gain exposure to a variety of technologies and customer environments, continuously expanding your skills and experience.

* Provide Tier 1 through Tier 3 support in an on-call capacity, helping maintain operational excellence.

* Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues in Linux environments, with opportunities to deepen your expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, Hadoop, and scripting languages like Python and Bash.

Position Requirements :

* Experience:

17+ years as a Systems Engineer on projects of similar scope and complexity.

* Education:

Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or an additional 5 years of SE experience in lieu of a degree).

* Certifications:

DoD 8570 IAT Level I or higher.

* Clearance:
Active TS/SCI with a current polygraph.

* Preferred

Skills:

Hands-on experience with Prometheus, JIRA, HDFS, virtualization technologies, Salt/Ansible, Grafana, Open Stack, and AWS.
SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range Details Target Salary Range: $176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
