MySQL Database Administrator; DBA SME

GovCIO is seeking a MySQL Database Administrator SME for our Courts proposal, located in San Antonio, TX.

• Provide technical expertise in architecture, design, implementation, support, and maintenance of database management systems such as MySQL, Informix, DB2, and SQL Server.
• Perform data movement, troubleshoot issues, and write scripts for database tasks.
• Maintain complex databases regarding JCL, access methods, security, and documentation.
• Handle installations, configurations, migrations, restores, and monitor system security and performance.
• Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support.
• Deliver presentations on DBMS concepts.

• Bachelor's degree with 5-8 years of experience in IT, Data Administration, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of database concepts and application.
• Ability to provide technical solutions to complex problems.
• Work independently under general direction.
• Experience with MySQL database configuration, administration, performance tuning, backup, and recovery.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server database management.
• Clearance:
  Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Salary range: USD $82,000 - $130,000 per year. Position is full-time, mid-senior level, in the IT industry.
