What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Write, optimize, and execute complex SQL queries in Big Query to validate data accuracy and support analytics and reporting
- Analyze large datasets to assess data quality and identify anomalies
- Utilize advanced Big Query features for high-performance analysis and data validation
- Employ Python for exploratory analysis and data manipulation
- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand data pipelines and perform side-by-side data comparisons during migrations

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in data analyst or analytics engineering roles with strong Big Query, SQL, and Python skills
- Proven ability to write and optimize SQL queries for data validation and trend analysis
- Experience building and operating solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to detect inconsistencies across systems

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with Looker or other BI tools for metric validation and reporting

- Experience with Big Query ML and Vertex AI
- Basic understanding of legacy systems such as Oozie or Pig
- Familiarity with time series analysis to identify unexpected shifts in metrics

- Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow (Cloud Composer)
