The Technical Engagement Lead (TEL) serves as the technical counterpart to the Technical Client Relationship Director (TCRD), jointly owning the success of Carenet’s strategic client engagements. The TEL provides technical leadership, delivery oversight, and solution validation throughout the full SDLC, partnering with internal Dev, QA, Dev Ops, and Infrastructure teams to ensure scalable, compliant, and on‑time outcomes. The TEL operates as a hands‑on technical lead and cross‑functional liaison, not a people manager, guiding design and delivery efforts across multiple work streams while maintaining alignment with the client’s roadmap and Carenet’s engineering standards.
Responsibilities- Technical Delivery Leadership
- Lead the technical delivery lifecycle, including requirements intake, design, development, testing, deployment, and post‑release validation.
- Serve as the technical owner for assigned deliverables by providing accurate effort estimates, sequencing work, and coordinating dependencies with QA and Release Management.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers, QA engineers, and other technical staff.
- Contribute to the enhancement and maintenance of Carenet’s reusable frameworks, API libraries, and development templates.
- Agile Planning & Execution
- Maintain process adherence to Carenet’s hybrid Agile and SDLC methodologies, including sprint planning, peer code reviews, and change control documentation.
- Participate in client and internal planning sessions to translate functional and operational requirements into technical tasks, sprint goals, and delivery milestones.
- Track project milestones, risks, and interdependencies with Project Managers and the TCRD to ensure delivery predictability.
- Client Partnership & Communication
- Partner with the Technical Client Relationship Director (TCRD) to ensure alignment between business expectations and technical execution across assigned client accounts.
- Communicate technical impacts, dependencies, and timelines effectively to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Participate in Change Advisory Board (CAB) reviews, providing technical input for release approvals and production gating decisions.
- Risk & Issue Management
- Provide feasibility assessments, technical risk evaluations, and solution recommendations during scoping and roadmap discussions.
- Track project milestones, risks, and interdependencies with Project Managers and the TCRD to ensure delivery predictability.
- Support UAT readiness, review test cases, and assist in defect triage to ensure production‑quality releases.
- Secure Coding & Compliance Awareness
- Ensure all solutions adhere to Carenet’s development patterns, documentation standards, and compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, SOC 2, and secure SDLC practices.
- Maintain audit readiness by ensuring clear and complete documentation of system specifications, configurations, and release artifacts.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with developers, QA analysts, Dev Ops, and Infrastructure teams to ensure all deliverables meet security, scalability, and performance standards.
- Partner with the Technical Client Relationship Director (TCRD) to ensure alignment between business expectations and technical execution.
- Coordinate dependencies with QA, Release Management, and other technical teams.
- Root Cause Analysis & Continuous Improvement
- Conduct post‑deployment validation and participate in root‑cause analysis for production issues impacting assigned clients.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process automation, workflow efficiency, and continuous technical improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, system integration, or related technical fields, and at least 5 years in a technical delivery leadership role.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
