We are seeking an experienced Cloud & Systems Engineer to help design, secure, automate, and support the technology infrastructure behind our growing ministry.

This is a technical role for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, strengthening systems, and building reliable technology environments. The Cloud & Systems Engineer will work across Microsoft Azure, Windows Server, hybrid infrastructure, web environments, automation, and Dev Ops while serving as a trusted technical resource for our IT team.

Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft Azure infrastructure, including Virtual Machines, Azure App Services, Azure SQL, and Storage Accounts.

Implement and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and automation practices.

Manage hybrid identity integrations across Active Directory and Microsoft Entra .

Monitor Azure performance, availability, security, and cost optimization.

Help shape architectural decisions and cloud modernization initiatives.

Administer Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and file and print services.

Perform system patching, vulnerability remediation, and lifecycle management.

Maintain virtualization platforms across Azure IaaS and/or Hyper-V.

Support Microsoft 365 and identity integrations.

Manage backup and disaster recovery systems.

Provide Tier III escalation support for complex infrastructure and systems issues.

Support preventative maintenance and monitoring of production-critical systems.

Maintain and optimize internal and public-facing IIS web servers.

Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for web application deployments.

Automate build, test, and deployment processes across environments.

Implement secure deployment practices, including role-based access controls, secrets management, and certificate management.

Troubleshoot web performance, API connectivity, and deployment issues.

Collaborate with developers and stakeholders on modern web architecture improvements.

Apply system hardening standards across Windows and Azure environments.

Partner with IT leadership on vulnerability management, compliance, and incident response readiness.

Implement effective logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions.

Maintain least-privilege access principles and secure configuration standards.

Document system architecture, standards, and deployment processes.

Identify opportunities to improve automation, reliability, scalability, and infrastructure performance.

Evaluate emerging Microsoft technologies and recommend solutions that support organizational needs.

Participate in scheduled maintenance windows and incident response as needed.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
