About the RoleA Salesforce Business Analyst is needed to support client-facing Salesforce projects by connecting business requirements with practical technical solutions. This position focuses on facilitating stakeholder discovery, analyzing and documenting requirements, developing actionable user stories, and maintaining accurate project documentation throughout delivery. The analyst will help ensure that Salesforce configuration, automation, and integration work is clearly defined, organized, and ready for development and testing.
The role requires hands-on Salesforce administration knowledge, familiarity with Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, and experience translating discussions with non-technical stakeholders into developer-ready specifications. Responsibilities span discovery sessions, requirements documentation, backlog management, cross-functional coordination, and UAT support. Strong organizational discipline and precise written communication are essential for managing multiple client work streams and keeping business and technical teams aligned.
What You'll Do- Plan, prepare, and facilitate discovery and requirements-gathering sessions with client stakeholders, developing agendas, asking targeted questions, and establishing clear session outcomes.
- Record and synthesize stakeholder discussions in real time, documenting business decisions, unresolved questions, action items, and follow-up requirements.
- Prepare accurate, structured meeting summaries and distribute documentation promptly to keep stakeholders informed and project activities moving forward.
- Translate business needs into detailed Salesforce user stories and acceptance criteria using Given/When/Then formatting, providing sufficient clarity for developers to implement and QA teams to validate solutions.
- Document functional requirements for Salesforce configuration, workflow automation, and integration activities, ensuring alignment between business expectations and technical implementation.
- Act as the primary connection between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, clarifying requirements, communicating decisions, and maintaining agreement on solution expectations.
- Maintain organized, current project documentation in Confluence, Jira backlogs, and related project artifacts, ensuring information remains accessible, accurate, and useful throughout delivery.
- Manage assigned tickets and documentation across multiple work streams, tracking outstanding requirements, action items, and delivery dependencies.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing test scripts, coordinating business testers, documenting defects, and tracking issues through resolution.
- Identify potential scope risks, unresolved requirements, and project dependencies early, escalating concerns with appropriate context and supporting details.
- Contribute to improvements in internal delivery processes, documentation practices, and knowledge sharing across the consulting team.
Required Experience
- 2–5 years of professional experience as a Salesforce Business Analyst, preferably supporting consulting engagements or systems integration projects.
- 1–2 years of hands-on Salesforce Administrator experience. Practical platform administration knowledge is a mandatory requirement.
- At least 1 year of consulting experience.
