Position: Senior Project Manager / SCRUM Master
Overview

LMI is seeking a Project Manager / Scrum Master at the senior level to lead Agile delivery in support of Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) technology modernization initiatives. This role combines hands-on Scrum leadership, integrated project planning, stakeholder coordination, and disciplined delivery management to help multidisciplinary teams deliver consistent outcomes while adopting enterprise work-management standards. The Project Manager / Scrum Master will direct sprint and release cadence, translate objectives into actionable Jira backlogs and schedules, and coordinate dependencies across discovery, training, cloud configuration, migration, analytics, and organizational adoption activities.

The successful candidate will establish clear delivery priorities, monitor quality and capacity, and provide timely, decision-ready reporting on progress, blockers, and risk. This is not a meeting-facilitation-only role. The project manager must make tradeoffs visible, remove impediments, align delivery plans with stakeholder readiness, and follow issues through resolution. Strong judgment, practical familiarity with Agile delivery, and an ability to communicate with both technical teams and senior leaders are essential.

LMI is a new breed of digital solutions provider dedicated to accelerating government impact with innovation and speed. Investing in technology and prototypes ahead of need, LMI brings commercial-grade platforms and mission-ready AI to federal agencies at commercial speed. Leveraging our mission-ready technology and solutions, proven expertise in federal deployment, and strategic relationships, we enhance outcomes for the government, efficiently and effectively.

With a focus on agility and collaboration, LMI serves the defense, space, healthcare, and energy sectors—helping agencies navigate complexity and outpace change. Headquartered in Tysons, Virginia, LMI is committed to delivering impactful results that strengthen missions and drive lasting value.
