For our client, we are seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space.
This role will own vulnerability management and penetration testing efforts across infrastructure, cloud, and application environments. You will partner closely with engineering and operations teams to reduce security exposure, strengthen defenses, and improve the speed and consistency of remediation. The position also plays a key role in automating security workflows, validating technical findings, and translating risk into actionable priorities for the business.
Location:
Remote
Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000 annually
Responsibilities- Own and manage vulnerability management operations across all environments
- Analyze and prioritize security vulnerabilities based on exploitability and business impact
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to drive vulnerability remediation efforts
- Automate security scanning and reporting workflows to enhance efficiency and consistency
- Monitor security performance metrics to improve visibility and support decision-making
- Plan and execute penetration testing to identify exploitable weaknesses and strengthen defenses
- Coordinate external penetration testing services to ensure quality and effective coverage
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security, or a related field
- 6+ years of experience in information security or security engineering, with a focus on vulnerability management and penetration testing
- Expertise in vulnerability assessment and risk-based prioritization to mitigate security exposure
- Hands-on experience with internal and external penetration testing, including manual validation and technical reporting
- Proficiency in operating and automating security platforms to improve operational efficiency
- Experience assessing vulnerabilities across infrastructure, cloud, and application environments, including complex cloud setups
- Strong investigative skills to identify root causes of security issues and recommend corrective actions
