Senior Commercial Auto Underwriter

Ultimate Staffing is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Auto Underwriter to join their client’s team in Texas. This role offers an opportunity to balance analytical precision with strong client relationships in a supportive, collaborative environment.

• Evaluate, analyze, and underwrite new and renewal commercial auto business in accordance with company guidelines and profitability goals.
• Assess risk exposure, determine appropriate pricing, and make sound underwriting decisions.
• Build and maintain relationships with agents and brokers to encourage profitable growth and retention.
• Review policy terms, coverage options, and endorsements to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support operational efficiency and client satisfaction.
• Monitor market trends and contribute to product development and strategic planning.
• Mentor and support junior underwriting staff when needed.

• 5+ years of commercial auto underwriting experience required.
• In-depth knowledge of underwriting principles, rating methodologies, and industry regulations.
• Strong analytical and decision‑making skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Proficiency with underwriting systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred; professional designations (CPCU, AU, etc.) a plus.

Salary Range: $55,000 – $70,000 per year
