Associate Attorney

The Firm works with a variety of insurance carriers and is located in San Antonio, Texas. We offer a hybrid schedule; candidates must be located in San Antonio. Experienced attorneys should be ready to hit the ground‑running and absorb their own docket of cases. Submit a resume to be considered for this position.

• Review new file assignments and approve initial pleadings, propound discovery, and/or develop strategy.
• Contact clients to discuss their case and answer any questions, maintaining contact for at least 60 days.
• Contact claims (initial litigation plan, recurring minimum 60‑day contact, strategy conferences, etc.).
• Conduct all aspects of discovery: written discovery, deposition of parties, fact witnesses, and expert witnesses.
• Perform due diligence; gather all relevant facts and documents; collaborate with Law Clerks, Paralegals and/or other Attorneys in due diligence.
• Research and determine applicable and pertinent laws, statutes, regulations, rules, and other legal authority; identify legal issues.

• Candidate must hold a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• At least 2‑5 years of litigation experience, preferably in personal injury or insurance defense, and meet requirements for continuing licensure for law practice throughout employment.
• Must be in good standing with the State Bar and have an active license to practice law in Texas.
• Strong analytical and writing skills; strong organizational skills; ability to multi‑task; passion for client service and practice development.
