A rapidly growing organization in the electronics manufacturing industry is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to develop and execute sourcing strategies that support new product development, manufacturing operations, cost optimization, inventory management, and supplier performance. This role partners closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Planning, and Product Management to ensure competitive sourcing and continuity of supply.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute sourcing strategies; manage RFQs, supplier selection, negotiations, pricing, contracts, and supply agreements.
- Lead sourcing activities for new product introductions (NPI), including identifying, evaluating, qualifying, and onboarding suppliers.
- Drive cost reduction, value engineering, alternate sourcing, and supply-risk mitigation initiatives.
- Monitor and improve supplier performance across quality, delivery, lead times, responsiveness, cost, and VMI programs.
- Analyze market conditions, supplier capacity, and material availability while leading supplier reviews and performance improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Finance, Operations, or a related field.
- 3–7 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, purchasing, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience with supplier negotiations, RFQs, sourcing strategies, and supplier relationship management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills with advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities.
- Experience with ERP systems; experience with Epicor is a plus.
