Assistant/Project Manager (San Antonio, TX)

Duties And Responsibilities

The assistant project manager will be based in our San Antonio office and will assist in managing multiple assigned projects from award through project close-out. This role requires understanding all aspects of operations and working cohesively with the Project Manager, Superintendents, Subcontractors, Suppliers, Engineers, Architects, and Clients to ensure project success.

  • Supervise Project Superintendents and other personnel as assigned.
  • Manage administrative aspects, including project plans, proposals, and contracts.
  • Track project progress for owner pay estimates.
  • Obtain permits required for projects.
  • Attend internal preconstruction meetings and owner-mandated preconstruction meetings.
  • Coordinate with field management and personnel.
  • Maintain MS Project schedules monthly.
  • Handle change order requests and RFIs from the field, submitting them for owner approval.
  • Ensure safety and quality control compliance among field employees, adhering to company policies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • OSHA 10-hour training preferred.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
  • Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.
  • Professional maturity, flexibility, and leadership qualities.
  • Ability to work on-site and in the field environment.
  • Strong planning, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Willingness to work extended hours as needed.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license may be required.
  • Ability to work independently and in team settings.
  • Legal right to work in the US without sponsorship.
