The Assistant Director of Residence Life (ADRL) supports the Director of Residence Life (DRL) in the administration, assessment, and daily operation of the University's housing and residence life program. The position provides leadership for residential operations, student development, staff supervision, conduct and crisis response, occupancy and housing processes, facilities coordination, assessment, and departmental initiatives. The Assistant Director serves as a key operational leader within Residence Life and assumes the Director's delegated responsibilities when appropriate.

The position assists with supervising live-in Residence Life Coordinators (RLC), Graduate Assistant (GA), and Resident Assistants (RA's). The Assistant Director lives on campus and receives a salary, furnished on-campus apartment, and meal plan as part of their compensation package.

Performance Metrics:

    - Monitor residential retention, early move-outs, housing cancellations, resident feedback, and satisfaction data; identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Residence Hall Operations
    - Monitor occupancy, room assignments, openings/closings, work orders, health and safety processes, key accountability, and unresolved facility concerns.
  • Staff Performance and Development
    - Evaluate RLC/GA/RA job performance, training completion, staff communication, programming effectiveness, and response to student needs.
  • Student Conduct and Risk Management
    - Monitor timeliness, accuracy, documentation, and resolution of conduct, crisis, and safety matters.

Essential Functions:
