Allen & Allen Co. is a building material supplier serving the contractor and construction industry.

This position will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining millwork machinery (moulder, sander, planer) to keep production efficient, safe, and on schedule.

• Set up, operate, and maintain mill machinery for custom millwork production.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical or technical issues.
• Perform calibration and adjustment of machinery for accuracy and efficiency.
• Train and support operators on machine setup, safety, and proper use.
• Drive forklift and handle materials safely and efficiently.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of production floor.
• Continuously improve and standardize production layouts and workflow.
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs and inspection records.
• Work collaboratively with tooling and production teams to meet output goals.

• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with millwork machinery.
• Experience with machine maintenance, alignment, and repair.
• Understanding of production flow and scheduling.
• Forklift certification and safe material handling practices.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and process issues.
• Teamwork and communication skills.

• 3+ years experience in mill or woodworking manufacturing.
• Machinery experience with a moulder, planer and rip saw.
• Familiarity with dust collection and safety systems.
• Experience in process improvement or continuous improvement initiatives.

• This job operates in a combination of manufacturing and yard environments in our San Antonio facility. Mill team members typically work 40 hours per week.
