Shop Service Technician - Bore Engine Assembly

Holt CAT is the largest Caterpillar dealership of heavy equipment in the United States. We have a full‑time, 1st shift Engine Technician – Shop position with our Small Bore Engine Assembly Line available at our San Antonio, Texas location. The hours of the position are Monday‑Friday. This position is responsible for providing high‑quality teardown, inspection, and repairs of diesel engines (natural gas) in a shop environment, responding to customer needs in a positive, caring, and timely manner, and ensuring maximum value for work performed.

• Perform complex repairs correctly such as teardown, inspection, repairs, test running, and/or painting of diesel engines in a shop environment.
• Ability to be productive by working efficiently and effectively with a high energy level.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and able to work in a team atmosphere.
• Must have own tools.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• GED or High School Diploma highly desired.
• Must have steady employment.
• Ability to frequently reach, bend, walk, etc.
• Must be able to lift 60lbs approximately 15 times a day.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Excellent attention to detail and results‑oriented.
• Excellent attendance is required.
• Able to work overtime as needed to meet customer demand.
• Must have great leadership skills and be able to lead a team.
• Direct Mechanical Experience is needed.
