Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identifying, picking, and returning of powder boxes correctly according to work schedule.
- Electrostatic powder coating of products of varying sizes and material in a spray booth.
- Ability to spray powder to the correct thickness range as specified by the engineering department.
- Powder coater is responsible for the cleaning of the spray gun and paint booth used that day.
- Quality control review of unloading parts off the production line and identify defects within drying stage.
- Ensure precise chemistry balance of the wash cycle process.
- Set up and take down of materials to be sprayed.
Required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to effectively and efficiently communicate information and respond to questions from shop lead, supervisor, and other departments.
- Excellent hand/eye coordination.
- Must be able to multi-task.
- Ability to understand engineering design drawings.
- Must be able to work independently and efficiently.
- Self-motivated and detail oriented.
- Excel in a fast-paced work environment.
Required
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two (2) or more years manufacturing paint and/or powder coating experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Lift/carry up to 50 lbs. for short distances.
- Stand for long periods of time.
- Adhere to all PPE requirements.
Working Environment:
- Smoke free workplace.
