Material Handler

Reports to:

Warehouse Manager

PMI Pipe, Steel & Supplies Material Handler participates in our warehouse operations and activities. Responsibilities include storing materials, picking, packing, and loading orders with the goal of increasing efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

• Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label and ship)
• Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label and store)
• Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
• Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
• Complete logs for inventory, vehicles or deliveries as required
• Report any discrepancies
• Able to multi-task
• Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
• Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment
• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations

• Proven working experience as a material worker
• Forklift experience
• Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Ability to lift heavy objects, up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to squat, twist, reach and stand/walk for an entire workday
• Ability to work in Texas weather i.e., heat, cold, dust, rain
• Able to work some Saturdays
• Ability to use a measuring tape
• High School diploma
• Ability to read, write and speak English or Spanish
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
