Youth Development
The YLP Co-Director serves as a key leader in the STYFC Ministry Team, co-leading the development and discipleship of young adults (ages 18–25) through the Leaders in Training (LIT) and Resident programs. This role is focused on equipping these young leaders in spiritual formation, ministry leadership, and Christ-centered community, guiding them through a structured pathway of growth:
Grow, Belong, Serve .
The YLP Co-Director will co-shepherd participants at all levels of the pathway, coach and train them in Relational Ministry Actions (RMAs), develop and implement curriculum, collaborate with staff and site directors, and cultivate a culture of spiritual maturity, deep discipleship, and Christ-sharing relationships.
Essential Functions
1. Spiritual Leadership & Discipleship (20%)
- Lead participants in spiritual formation: prayer rhythms, Bible study, and reflection.
- Model and coach 3
Story® living and disciple-making practices. - Create safe, truth-filled environments for vulnerability, healing, and growth.
- Shepherd participants through personal challenges and spiritual development.
2. Leadership Development & Coaching (20%)
- Co-lead weekly trainings and small groups for LITs and Residents.
- Coach participants in RMAs such as Contacting, Building Time, Club, and Appointments.
- Provide 1-on-1 mentoring and regular check‑ins.
- Guide participants in leading ministry elements (e.g., clubs, small groups, trips).
- Recruit, train, and match mentors with YLP participants.
3. Program Design & Execution (20%)
- Co-develop and implement an annual curriculum for LIT and Resident programs.
- Collaborate with fellow Co‑Director to align training across both LIT and Resident tracks.
- Help shape environments where young leaders thrive in community, calling, and confidence.
4. Administrative & Communication (10%)
- Maintain updated calendars, mentor notes, and donor communication.
- Communicate regularly with site directors about YLP participants’ growth and involvement.
- Oversee newsletters, 60‑day reports, and internal trackers.
- Maintain and grow personal and program‑specific donor base.
- Develop a prayer team and communicate updates.
- Participate in fundraising campaigns, events, and supporter cultivation.
6. Events & Community Engagement (5%)
- Plan and attend seasonal retreats, trainings, and ministry events.
- Assist in planning key program milestones and celebrations.
- Partner with community organizations and churches for support and development.
- Meet bi‑weekly with YLP Co‑Director for strategic planning and clarity.
- Attend team meetings and cross‑functional leadership gatherings.
- Foster unity, joy, and shared mission among staff and volunteers.
Personal Growth (5%)
- Grow Spiritually
- Pray for YFC and Leaders
- 15 minutes daily inviting God into the day and praying through activities for the day
- 30 minutes at the start of the week to pray through the week, inviting God and surrendering the week to Him
- 4 hours monthly inviting and surrendering the month to Him and praying for strategic initiatives (supervisor will ask monthly what God is speaking about)

- Complete all Knowledge Base training, as well as any additional training assigned by supervisors or executive leadership within YFC.

Key Qualifications
- Spiritual Maturity: Passionate relationship with Jesus, shaped by dependence on the Holy Spirit and grounded in God's Word.
- Leadership
Skills:
Experience mentoring, discipling, and developing young adults in a Gospel‑centered environment. - Relational Intelligence: Able to shepherd and connect with diverse young adults and ministry partners.
- Communication & Organization: Strong communicator with reliable planning and follow‑through.
- Ministry
Experience:
At least 2 years in youth or young adult ministry (YFC experience preferred)
Primary and Secondary Steward Responsibilities
