As a Care Partner in our Green House home, you are required to have a Texas nursing assistant certification (C.N.A) and you will provide person-centered care to Elders in a warm, home-like environment.
You’ll assist with daily living activities, help maintain a clean and nurturing household, and promote independence and dignity for each Elder.
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance with daily living needs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
- Prepare and serve meals according to Elder preferences; clean up kitchen and dining areas
- Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and home maintenance tasks
- Monitor and report changes in health, mood, or behavior to the nursing team
- Encourage Elder engagement, independence, and decision-making
- Work and communicate effectively as part of the self-managed work team.
- Participate in care plan discussions and team meetings
- Maintain accurate electronic documentation of care provided
- Follow all safety, infection control, and confidentiality policies
- Build meaningful relationships with Elders and team members in a supportive, self-managed work team
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – active, unrestricted in the State of Texas
- CPR and Food Handler Certification (can be obtained after hire)
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. and perform physical care tasks
- Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented attitude
- Excellent communication and observation skills
Training Provided
All Care Partners receive Green House model training and continuing education to support person-directed care and teamwork.
