Klarus Home Health/Jet Health Inc. is looking for a PRN CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) to join our team serving our patients in San Antonio, TX and the surrounding areas.

The Certified Nursing Assistant is a paraprofessional member of the interdisciplinary group who works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and performs various services for a patient as necessary to meet the patient's personal needs and to promote comfort. The CNA is responsible for observing the patient, reporting these observations and documenting observations and care performed.

• Perform personal care tasks according to patient assignments and promptly attend to their needs
• Ensure patient safety and use equipment properly, including foot stools, side rails, and oxygen devices
• Provide personal hygiene assistance, including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, and changing bed linens
• Assist patients with dressing, undressing, and feeding as needed
• Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the Registered Nurse Case Manager
• Assist with ambulation, exercise, and other therapeutic activities as instructed
• Offer respite care for patients, families, and caregivers as appropriate
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the patient's immediate living space
• Adhere to documentation and care procedures, as well as standards of personal and professional conduct
• Participate in quality assessment and performance improvement activities

• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program and competency evaluation
• Minimum of one year of CNA experience, preferably in home health or hospice care
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given
• Compassionate and empathetic towards patients and their families
• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver's license, insured automobile in good working order
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
