• Perform routine cleaning and repetitive tasks alone or with others in resident apartments/homes, including baseboard cleaning, wet or damp mopping, sweeping, dusting, window washing, vacuuming, carpet spot cleaning, general cleaning of bathrooms and kitchens, and arranging lightweight furniture and/or equipment.
• Sign out and in and observe key control policy designed to insure resident security and privacy.
• Obtain Supervisor approval prior to performing resident-requested deviations from regularly scheduled service routines.
• Promptly inform Supervisor of any changes in resident lifestyle that may indicate the need for senior staff intervention.
• Report missing, unserviceable, or defective fixtures and equipment (vacuums, light bulbs, towel and tissue holders, safety bars, windows, faucets, hardware, appliances, linens, etc.) to Supervisor for proper action.

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• At least one year of work experience in a similar position in a retirement community, health care center, residential apartment complex, or hotel in housekeeping is preferred.

In 1970, the first of our two campuses opened in San Antonio. Air Force Village I was followed in 1987 by Air Force Village II. For decades, our campuses created a community for officers of the armed forces – a retirement lifestyle rich with camaraderie and the shared common bond. In 2014, we expanded our eligibility to embrace a wider range of retired seniors, including those from civilian careers. With this change, a new name – Blue Skies of Texas – was added, and the campuses were renamed Blue Skies East and Blue Skies West. Continuing to offer modern residences and a range of senior‑focused services and amenities, the Air Force Village legacy we cherish carries forward in Blue Skies of Texas.
