American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Adult Emergency Department position requiring TNCC certification and Meditech experience in a high-acuity trauma setting.

• 86-bed Adult Emergency Department with approximately 105 staff
• Day shift staffed with 7 RNs plus additional CNC staff brought in every 2 hours, reaching 18-20 RNs during peak hours
• Night shift staffed with 6-7 RNs plus CNC
• Acuity-based patient ratios, typically 4:1 with surges as needed
• Standard ER equipment used
• Meditech EMR used
• Shift runs 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM
• Must pick up 4 weekend shifts per month
• No floating required

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC, ENPC, NIHSS, and CPI
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in the Emergency Department specialty
• Meditech EMR experience required
• Trauma center experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage an acute patient population required
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months

• Provide emergency nursing care across a broad range of airway, vascular access, trauma, cardiac, neurological, pediatric, and GI/GU procedures
• Participate in trauma activations, code blue response, stroke and STEMI alerts, and sepsis alert management
• Level II Trauma Center skills such as massive transfusion protocols, advanced burn stabilization, and crush injury management utilized
• Dress code requires navy blue scrub tops, bottoms, and jacket
• Candidates must demonstrate a positive, energetic, can-do attitude and kindness
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted
