American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg-Oncology RN for a night shift contract position requiring TX or compact RN licensure and oncology certification.

• Work in a 12-bed Med/Tele-Oncology unit
• Staffing of 2-3 RNs and 1 PCT per shift
• Patient ratios of 1:5 or 1:6
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Rotational weekend and on-call requirements
• Floats to comparable units as needed
• Uses Meditech EMR

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
• Oncology Certified Nurse (ONC) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Med/Surg or Oncology specialty
• Med-Surgical skills required;
  Oncology and Medical Surgical skills preferred
• No gaps in work history totaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration

• Provide care for medical/surgical and oncology patients, including chemotherapy administration
• Must wear Methodist Navy Blue scrubs
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this travel position
• One professional reference required (two required for FL and MO candidates)
