Summary

National EMR consistently seeks talented and hard‑working individuals who are eager to assist impacted communities and first responders on an “as needed basis” as reservist employees. Reservists (YOU) are part of an elite, all‑hazards response cadre who are available to work intermittently, commit to working when needed, and travel/deploy within 24‑48 hours. The cadre plays a key role in keeping National EMR ready to deploy the right people in the right jobs quickly in an emergency management situation.

These situations could include hurricane responses, mass shooting(s), wildfire responses, and more. As a company we have responded to every major U.S. incident that has occurred in the last 25 years. Required – Graduate from an accredited Licensed Vocational Nursing Program or Licensed Practitioner Nursing Program. Must hold a current LVN or LPN license in the state of residence. Compact license preferred.

Required – Two (2) years of nursing experience. Both pediatric and adult nursing experience preferred.

• ICS 200b – ICA for single resources and Initial Action Incidents
• ICS 700a – National Incident Management Systems (NIMS) and Introduction
• ICS 800b – National Response Framework, An Introduction
• ICS 300 – Intermediate IC for Expanding Incidents (must be completed upon hire)
• ICS 400 – Advanced IC Command and General Staff – Complex Incidents (must be completed upon hire). May be waived upon hire, however required to be completed within 3 months of hire or will be terminated due to noncompliance.

• Understand and adhere to the National EMR Policies and Procedures Manual, Uniform Handbook, and Operations Manual.
• Foster a culture that encourages team members to work safely, identify potential hazards, and report safety concerns immediately to their direct chain of command.
• Maintain active status within the agency’s platforms, including learning management systems to complete training that may be directed toward self‑improvement, mission‑specifics, or Just‑In‑Time (JIT) training.
• Complete all nursing duties and provide all health care services relevant to this position in compliance with all regulatory authorities, and program protocols, procedures and supervisory instructions including, but not limited to, active and ongoing nursing assessments, charting, scheduling of appointments, routine observations, isolation observations, wellness checks, immunizations, all required documentation and reporting.
• Effectively communicate, consult and interact with the Clinic Group Supervisor or Clinic Manager or Registered Nurse Manager on protocol and procedure issues affecting the quality of health care services on campus and issues of contagious disease control when any client on site is ill with contagious disease and communicate effectively with health care providers regarding care for service population and advocate for the needs of the service population.
• Maintain all written and electronic medical health care records.
• Communicate with service population and staff in a manner that prioritizes confidentiality of health care records and information in keeping with HIPAA, Protected Health Information (PHI) requirements and NEMR confidentiality protocol and procedures.
